And further TESTING WITH BALLISTICS AT CAVENDISH LAB CAMBRIDGE,
[D]MW has developed and is further developing “STARLITE NFAARrrr” {Nuclear Flash Absorber Arrester Resister reflectors} which interalia is a special Plasma producer” which is a “THERMAL insulator” and an extremely low radar signature, which may include “THE INVENTIONS” [TESTS A.W.E. UK] and [By George Johnston AT BOEING MILITARY, HUNTINGTON BEACH.CA] Dr Alan Atkins and Dr.John Davies and at Phantom Works St Louis 1997/1998/1999/2000/2001/2002.
[E] MW has developed and is continuing to further develop “STARLITE LPAARrrr” {Laser Pulse Absorber Arrester Resister reflectors-*15 Nano sec pulse 10Hz. Continuous} Which Interalia produces a self immunizing, and insulating Special Plasma, with a reflecting scatter; and which may be of an extremely low radar and millimetric signatures; with resistance to UV, infra red and solar temperatures; may also include “THE INVENTIONS” [TESTS via SDIPO LONDON at RSRE and DRA FARNBOROUGH. Also with THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN THE CAVENDISH LAB CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY FEBRUARY/JULY 93; WITH LUMONICS DEC 93] [BBC Film]

No penetration on ONE Millimeter thick of Starlite. THIS Equates to the “Q” value of 2470. Also the YAG laser 3.6GW cm/sq. per sec
Results produced with Scanned Cone calorimeter 1998/1999/2000/2001/2002 with heat capacities; with Dr John Kirby and Steve Amundsen at Phantom Works, Huntington Beach.CA.
Boeing values 0.4
Starlite values 5.0
Further tests carried out in the USA in 1996/1997/1998/1999/2000/2001 proved and certified that “THE STARLITE’’, and ‘’ULTRA HIGHTECH STARLITE’’ TECHNOLOGIES” have established certificate of a “Q” Value of 2470. [The shuttle tiles have a “Q” value of only ONE at 75mm thick]
In December 2001. At the laboratories of MDC/ Boeing, Phantom Works, St.Louis. USA Certified protection against fuselage burn through for 15 mins in civil aircraft was demonstrated and tested positive. This was certified by the Boeing Engineers team lead by Dr. Allen Atkins VP. Technologies
The “INSULFAB” by DuPont’ the material which was reported as being the key factor with a composite of the DuPont “Kapton Cabling” in the composite which started the fire and being the cause for the Swiss Airways CRASH over Nova Scotia”
Whilst a separate test proved that “THE STARLITE’’ and ULTRA HIGHTECH STARLITE’’ ‘’TECHNOLOGIES TREATED” “insulfab” ”As an aircraft lining” THIS did not ignite and did not burn at all. A DVD of the test and results are available.

In the UK, Demonstration Tests were simulated for FIRE DOORS during Aug 2003 and March 2004 this proved a “ONE HOUR PLUS “protection as sustainable.
A new “Lightweight” “Starlite Fire Door”(c) and TM is in design concept”

November 2006 Halogen Free Starlite Fire Door
‘’A Prototype’’: manufactured lightweight Timber and MDF composite ‘’HF Starlite Fire Door’’ was subjected to severe conditions of fire test with BS476+++ This was also subjected to stress factors for integrity; on the 7th November 2006 these severe tests including the stress factors proved 90 minutes FIRE PROTECTION with temperatures up to 1325.o.c [and, which are grossly in excess of the required test parameters] and, with the integrity to be sustainable.
Thermal Barriers
The inside of the Furness being at a profile temperature ranging from 850.o.c to 1325.o.c. The outside of the door was only up to > 43.o.c @ 60 mins== and 45.o.c. at 90 mins. The ‘’DELTA T’’.. Recorded 807’’ at 60 mins and 1280 up to 90 mins.

There was NO Warping, bending or twisting, or delaminating during the test; and in particular between the door and frame spaces which remained sealed with the special ‘’STARLITE SEAL EXPANSION’’.
THE Energy calculated that 3.9 million BTU’s was consumed during the test.
This was produced by using 46 Cubic Meters of Gas; is that 46 tonnes of Gas?

Currently looking @ Foam spray, possibly including for the tackling of the Californian fires.

[F1] MW will arrange to carry out demonstrations under his control and management on the “STARLITE” and ‘’ULTRA HIGHTECH STARLITE’’ “DEMONSTRATION MATERIAL” at an agreed facility or location and fee.

[10a]This agreement shall be governed exclusively by English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts as witness the respective hands of Maurice Ward and of…Mr. . The day and date in the year first before written.

Hello One and All

I am Maurice Ward, back in the 80's I invented a material called Starlite.
This was brought about as a result of the Manchester air disaster 1n 1985 where 55 people died in forty seconds from the inhalation of toxic smoke and fumes. In 1990 Starlite passed the tests of ATS 1000 65/65 burn test and also the heat release, and smoke and toxicity for aircraft interiors on safety.
In March 1990 The Live demonstrations on Video BBC's Tomorrow's World showed that Starlite could keep an egg cold even with a 1200 degrees celcius flame impingeing on the EGG for 5 minutes, and when cracked open 'The Egg had not even began to cook''. If you are old enough, you may remember the demonstration, if you missed it I have repeated it may times and there is a version on Youtube just here.
Following the demonstrations I became involved with many tests including 5th July 1990 at AWE, Foulness, giving protection against nuclear weapons effects, a fluence of 10,000 o.c. was contained and dealt with. Resulting in ''mauriceward starlite'' being entered in the ''Guiness Book of Records''. An eventual test on 4th/5th October 1990 was to withstand 75 fluences[75 Hiroshema's 10,000.o.c on the front face, only 70.o.c on the back face] travelling at the speed of light was dealt with; being expressed as 29,800 Cals CM2. in 2 minutes 29 seconds. Further test by Military lasers were carried out acheiving spectacular results.
Many companies became involved, including furniture, aircraft safety, and various defence companies, NASA, Macdonnel Douglas[JSF program], Boeing and several Government Organisations, and I have continued working on Starlite and many other projects.
Because of the continued interest I have started this Blog so as to share some of my experiences and accounts with anyone who is interested enough to read it.
Also I will be inviting suggestions from people on how to bring Starlite into the commercial market.
Please see the remarks onhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxqFyDugqs4

Maurice, your invention is so important please share it with the rest of the world. Whatever has happened in the past cannot be allowed to ruin such a great invention .

So please do bookmark it and pop back periodically to have a look. I get a great deal of email from people around the world and do my best to answer it all, if however you email me and don't get a response please accept my apologies, it's due to the work load in R&D.

NEW CHALLENGIES! NEW RESULTS

Kind Regards
MW.
